Data Deletion, Mad Comps

Last updated 10 October 2026.

Request your data is deleted

You have the right to request that we delete the personal data we hold about you. We delete your account data when you ask. Payment and ticket records are kept for 6 years, as HMRC requires.

Bought as a guest? Email us from the address you used and give the competition number. We will remove your name and email from your tickets; your ticket and payment record stays for 6 years, as HMRC requires.

Your sales record is kept, not deleted

Once buying through the site opens, records of the cards you sell through Mad Comps, including the price each card sold for and the date, are kept in your account so you never lose your trading history. They are not part of the routine deletion described above. If you ask us to erase your account, these records are deleted or anonymised so they no longer identify you.

What gets deleted

  • Your name, email, phone number.
  • Enquiry history (payment and ticket records are kept for 6 years, as HMRC requires).
  • Your saved interests.
  • If you signed in with Facebook, the link between your Mad Comps account and your Facebook account, and the name and email address Facebook sent us. We never receive your Facebook password or friends list. To remove Mad Comps from your Facebook account as well, use Settings, Apps and websites on Facebook.

We keep a record of your deletion request itself, so we can show that we answered it. Messages sent through the contact and data deletion forms, with a scrambled form of the sender's network address, are kept on our web server for up to 12 months, then deleted.

Statutory exception: HMRC requires us to keep invoice records for 6 years. Invoices stay in our accounting system until that period elapses, after which they are deleted.
